Volunteering at the museum is rewarding, educational, fun and at times challenging. There are many areas where volunteers assist the museum in fulfilling its mission.
Areas of possible volunteer activity include; special events, train crew, antique auto museum, building care, grounds care, and many other areas. Special skills are welcome but not necessary. Your enthusiasm, interest and willingness to lend a hand are all the requirements for many of the opportunities for volunteering.
These images depict activities from model railroading to cleaning up to machine shop tasks to the many volunteers that assist with our Day Out With Thomas™ event.
Thank you for considering getting involved with the demonstration and preservation of Maine heritage.
