Ride in a vintage coach behind a 100 year old steam locomotive! Rail trips depart on the hour – 11 am – 4 pm Tuesday-Sunday. Last train leaves promptly at 4 pm. Please call to confirm schedule and equipment operating on the day of your visit.

Featuring more than 60 automobiles and trucks from 1902 – 1962. The exhibit illustrates technological advances and engineering feats that helped make cars accessible to the masses. Our collection also includes other automotive ephemera.

Step back in time to experience early Maine life. The town includes historic structures and buildings filled with artifacts from the mid-1800 to 1900s. Visit the village shops, schoolhouse, and homestead. Take a train ride around the grounds.

The late Ron Spinney devoted countless hours creating what is regarded by many as “one of the best model railroads” in New England, portraying railroading in Maine during the 1950s—1960s. Be sure to visit the ever-growing model railroad.

The historic depot was built in 1912 to replace the one burned in 1911. It was of a style called “New York Central,” and was one of the newest in the state of Maine. During its heyday, the station managed outgoing and incoming passengers and freight.

Throughout the season a wide variety of special events are hosted on the Village Green from vintage ball games to car shows and family festivals. The Museum is also a unique location for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
