Learn to weave around three dimensional objects. We’ll create a small satchel or carry-all from beautiful hand-dyed yarn. A nylon paracord handle, fabric lining, and button closure will embellish your weaving and allow your carry-all to hold your phone and ID. You’ll leave with the skills to experiment weaving around other objects, creating unique forms. All materials included.
Susan Perrine is a diverse fiber artist. She constructs introspective textiles ranging from handheld and wearable to inhabitable. Materials come from various sources: twigs and saplings, cast off books and wrapping materials, and animal fibers. Susan demonstrates traditional weaving techniques as part of Artisan Days at Boothbay Railway Village.
