Learn how to carve soft stone using rasps, files and chisels to create a necklace pendant in this lustrous media. In just two hours you’ll create a piece ready to wear and a memory to hold on to forever.
Your class will be taught by artist Anne Alexander. Anne is a sculptor and art teacher. She works in the mediums of clay and stone and wood. Her sculpture is exhibited in both galleries and exterior sited sculpture exhibits in Maine and throughout the US. Currently her sculpture can be seen in Maine at The Yarmouth Frame Gallery, The Caldbeck Gallery in Rockland, and at June LaCombe Sculpture exhibits. Anne was chosen to be artist in residence at The Maine Farmland Trust- Joseph A. Fiore Art Center in Dresden, Maine in September 2017.
$25 for Museum Members, $30 for non-members. Children 8 and over are welcome to attend but most be accompanied by an adult. Class fee includes all materials.
